The lecture was conducted on 21.03.2016 by the esteemed guest lecturer Dr Gurwant Kaur, MDS Community Health, Senior Lecturer, Genesis Dental College, Ferozepur.

Light was thrown upon few fundamentals like the branch of medicine which deals with the incidence, distribution and possible control of diseases and other factors related to health.

The duration of this training period was from 01.02.2016 to 15.02.2016

Students underwent training and learnt the fundamental working of the supportive departments of the hospital like Reception, emergency services, appointment scheduling, transportation system,

admission,  ambulance management, billing, housekeeping and lastly waste segregation according to Biomedical Waste Management .

The workshop was conducted on 02.02.2016. Infection prevention and control is required to prevent the transmission of communicable diseases in all health care setups. Students were given adequate knowledge of the hospital acquired infection called nosocomial infection.

Infection prevention and control demands a basic understanding of the epidemiology of diseases; risk factors that increase patient susceptibility to infection; and the practices, procedures and treatments that may result in infections.

Students were given detailed information regarding assisted reproductive technology which is known as test tube baby procedures. This technology gives ray of hope to the distressed couple worldwide.
