The Webinar on “How to cope up with stress” was organized by the Department of Hospital Administration and Management under the banner of Ek Bharat- Shresth Bharat on 09/06/22 at 10.30 am through Google meet Platform. Webinar was attended in full strength of 85 participants. Prof. S.S. Gill, Officiating Principal, Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur on behalf of the Management welcomed the Resource Person, faculty, members of Heartful Campus and various participants.Mrs. Sapna Bhadwar, Nodal Officer , Ek Bharat – Shresth Bharat introduced he key speaker Dr. Ritesh Sahotra , who is a Medical Officer, PCMS-I. The Speaker Dr. Ritesh Sahotra thereafter gave a brief & informative presentation on meaning of Stress, how to diagnose and manage it. The enriching and inter-active Webinar concluded with question & answer session where the students put up their queries which were effectively answered by the speaker. A vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Sapna Badhwar who thanked the speaker for making students aware about the stress and how other health problems arise from it and how the students can overcome the fear of exams.

GUEST LECTURE ON PERSONAL HYGIENE
The Guest Lecture on “Personal Hygiene” was organized by the Department of Hospital Administration and Management in collaboration with NCC Wing of DSCW on 07/05/2022 at 12 pm through Google meet Platform. Webinar was attended by 67 participants. Dr. Sangeetal, Officiating Principal, Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur on behalf of the Management welcomed the Resource Person, faculty, members of Heartful Campus and various participants.Lt. Dr. Parmveer Kaur, ANO, NCC Wing of DSCW introduced he key speaker Dr. Somashree Sanyal. She highlighted the importance of knowledge regarding women’s personal hygiene and how to deal with the day to day changes in one’s body. She discussed about the necessity of taking proper care of the hair and skin, included the number of times hair and skin must be washed and how eating habits among the present generation has a direct impact on the skin and hair.Dr. Somashree focused on importance of taking good care of private parts by washing and cleaning them on regular basis.She told about various drugs and supplements and how they have an adverse effect on women’s health.
WORKSHOP ON BUILDING EFFECTIVE INTERVIEW SKILLS
A workshop on ‘Building Effective Interview Skills’ was organized on the 5th May 2022 by Department of Hospital Administration and Management under IQAC. Mr. Navarsh Kumar, Asstt. Prof., Dept. of Economics, was the facilitator for the Workshop. The workshop was attended by 38 students from the department. The motive of the workshop was to confront the students with the different stages of interview. The session opened by asking students their viewpoints regarding ‘interviews’. After which the resource person explained them about ‘What is an Interview?’ Then he explained the different stages of Interview: 1. Screening (Resume/ Telephonic) 2. HR round 3. Group Discussion 4. Panel Interview
Mr. Sachin Sharma gave insights about how to prepare oneself for an interview which included: 1. Information about the company (By reading newspapers) 2. Comparison of skills and job requirements 3. To prepare responses to few likely asked questions like your strengths, weaknesses, accomplishments, goals, etc. He gave a checklist of do’s and don’ts of answers of various questions asked during a personal interview. He emphasized on the fact that discussing about salary should be avoided as it creates bad impression on the interviewer. He also highlighted on the importance of dress code (as per the requirement of the company). Mr. Sachin gave a check- list of things which are to be carried for the interview like original documents, photocopies and passport size photos.

VISIT TO “COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE” FEROZESHAH
Community Health Centers are private, non-profit organization that directly or indirectly provide primary health services and related services to residents of a defined geographic area that is medically underserved and are staffed by a group of general practitioners and nurses providing healthcare services to people.
The students of the department made a one day visit to Community Health Centre, Ferozeshah on 09.February.2021 and saw the working of a Government setup hospital. They were also given knowledge about NRHM, NVBDC by Mrs. Neha Bhandari, Block Educative Officer, Ferozeshah.
VISIT TO “RURAL PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRE” TALWANDI BHAI
Primary Health Centers are state-owned rural healthcare facilities in India. They are essentially single physician’s clinics usually with facilities for minor surgeries, too. They are part of the Government-funded public health system in India and are the most basic units of this system.
The students of Department of Hospital Administration and Management visited Primary Healthcare Centre, Talwandi Bhai on 08.February.2021 where the students were made aware about the working of primary healthcare centre. They learned about various National Health Programmes made available to the general public in Primary Healthcare Centres.
